GB-0131 Mersey Narrows and North Wirral Foreshore SPA/SAC/Ramsar Conservation Reserve
It is now a 2fer with the newly established King Charles III Coastal Path GB-0711, which runs along the promenade from New Brighton to West Kirby.

This park stretches along the northern edge of the Wirral Peninsula, locally know for a few Nature reserves and country Parks. For me the best location for operating from it is in the Town of New Brighton. It is now a 2fer with the newly established King Charles III Coastal Path GB-0711, which runs along the promenade from New Brighton to West Kirby. (It is this park that runs around the Coast of the UK, filling in where there is no coast path named)
Unusually for the town, at this time of the year ,February so still winter, there was sunshine, but the wind kept the temperature down to a chilly 3C. I decided to activate from the promenade car park as it was within the distance required for the coast path trail, and also I was in the AZ for activating a Bunker on the Air. Hence it was a 2fer plus Bunker activation.
As we all know, it is a minimum of 10 contacts to qualify the Parks, but it is a minimum of 25 for a Bunker. I found myself struggling early on, to get the calls on 20m, but persevering and after swapping to 10m, then 17m ended up with 64 in my PoLo Logger. this included 10 P2P, in 2.5 hours.
So overall a pleasant 2 park activity, in sunny weather and by the time we were packing up the weather had dragged out the visitors and the car park was completely full. Would certainly recommend this Park to other Activators, if you decide to visit in the Summer months, you will need to get early to find a decent place to set up and not cause any problem for the General public.
and so finally, thank you dear reader for taking time out to meander over this my 1st review of a POTA Park, I hope it makes you want to visit the Wirral and activate the various POTA Parks on it including this one? Best 73 for now Tony
